The NCS Concert Choir rehearses every Monday and Wednesday at 7:45 am in room # 941. All NCS Choir Members are expected to participate in the annual winter and spring concerts.

Congratulations on a fantastic job singing for The 2011 Christmas Chorale, The Northfield Tree Lighting, Meadowview Nursing Home, Lite Rock 96.9, The Winter Concert In-School Assembly & The Annual Winter Choir Concert! We look forward to hearing their talents in the spring! Great job!

Auditions for the NCE Drama Club's production of Alice in Wonderland jr. will be held on December 20 and 22 at 3:15 in the Choral Room. Pre-registration is highly recommended. Please see this form for more information.  Winter Choir Concert ~December 14thWEDNESDAY, December 14, 2011 is the Big Day that you will NOT want to miss!! The Northfield Community School Choir will be performing in The Annual Winter Choral Concert in the cafetorium.
Specifics You Need To Know:
*Students should be in place and ready to warm-up at 6:45 p.m. in the choral room.
*The concert will start at 7:00 p.m. sharp!
*This is an ALL CHORAL concert. (Band Concert --- 12/15/11)
*The students should enter through the SACC doors.
*The boys should wear a white shirt with black pants. They may wear a tie.
The girls should wear a white shirt with black pants.
Girls may also wear a black skirt.  Meadowview Day Trip ~December 15thAll students should have gotten a two page letter regarding the Meadowview Nursing Home day trip. Page one provides the itinerary. Page two includes the permission slip for this trip. Please remember, all permission slips must be turned in or you will not be permitted to ride the bus. If you did not receive a copy of this letter you are welcome to download and print it out. This letter can be found at the bottom of the choir fusion page listed under "letters". See Mrs. McGrath for any questions.
NAME CHECK!!!ATTENTION CHOIR MEMBERS!
Please know the Winter Program Is Posted on the choir door. All choir members should Check to make certain their name is there, in the right column, and spelled correctly!  Tree LightingStudents should arrive Friday, December 2nd at 6:45 pm wearing warm and comfortable clothing. The evening will promptly begin at 7:00 pm. Chorus students will sing several winter concert songs, and then lead the crowd in a holiday sing-a-long.
The ceremony will be over around 7:30 pm. As soon as Santa arrives chorus students may leave with the designated guardian. This will be an evening that you will not want to miss  2011 Christmas ChoraleThe 2011 NBC 40 Christmas Chorale will be presented as a series of five;
30-minute programs that will air as follows:
December 10 @ 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm
December 17 @ 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm
December 18 @ 11:30 pm and 12:00 noon
December 24 @ 1:00 pm, 1:30 pm, 11:30 pm, 12:00 midnight, 12:30 am, 1:00 am and 1:30 am.
December 25 @ noon, 12:30 pm, 1:00pm, 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm
 No Morning Choir Rehearsal 11/30/11Please know there will be no morning choir rehearsal on the day of the the 2011 Christmas Chorale taping. On November 30th, students should report to Mrs. McGrath at 9:30 am in the choral room. All permission slips must be turned in or you will not be permitted to ride the bus!
 NCS CHOIR / BAND TRIP 05/20/11Congratulations NCS Choir, Band and Jazz Band for placing FIRST in their division at Music In the Parks festival in Wildwood, NJ! Not only did each ensemble place first in their division, they also won the ESPIRT de CORPS AWARD! This award is presented to students from a school who demonstrates proper social behavior as well as musical behavior/encouragement. They are to possess the qualities of highly successful people who are sensitive to the feelings of others and applaud accomplishments no matter if by one's own school or another school. An evaluation has taken place from arrival at the festival site to the awards presentation. All schools are eligible for this award, but only one group will have the honor of taking this trophy with them back to their school. WE GOT IT!!
 CONGRATULATIONS BRANDON!The Northfield Community School is proud to announce that guitar soloist, Brandon Kintish, was awarded honors at the Music In the Parks Music Festival on Friday, May 20th. GREAT JOB BRANDON!
